Thermal Modelling Utilizing Multiple Experimentally Measurable Parameters

This paper presents three equivalent thermal circuit models with multiple input parameters, namely, the state of health (SOH), charge (SOC), current and temperature. Typical physiochemical include parameters such as porosity tortuosity, which are not easily experimentally available; this model allows for internal impedance to be estimated using more practical inputs. The resistance a LiFePO4 battery at five different ambient temperatures (5, 15, 25, 35, 45 °C), discharge rates (1C, 2C, 3C) SOHs (90%, 83%, 65%). surface fit experimental measurements Pearson coefficient 0.945. Three were then created that implemented model. first two 0D did influence conductivity battery. assumed simple heating through convection energy loss, while second also included Bernardi Reversible heat term. final third was 2D all previous source terms well tab heating. solved Euler method finite center difference.
